Puppy playpen Great for puppies weighing less than 15lbs.Jun 25, 2010
By Nikki P.
This puppy playpen is great for any puppies less than 15 lbs. I have a 7 month old Shih tzu/Bichon mix puppy. He weighs 15lbs and he dominates this playpen. He plays great in it with the doors open and he can roam freely in and out. If I try to contain him in this unit, he will flip it and come out of the bottom of it. The bottom portion is velcro and it would be better if it was zipper like the top. Overall, the structure of this is not very durable. It has a medium sturdiness and once my puppy jumps on the side, he sometimes colapses the unit. I have not set this unit up outside where it may be more sturdy because it comes with stakes and can be secured to the ground. The 45" is very wide and roomy for my puppy and my 4 year old. I almost should have gotten the 43" Playpen. This playpen serves it's intended purpose for me. When staying overnight in a hotel, family and friends, I wanted to be able to contain my puppy while we were sleeping to prevent any possible accidents. As long as my puppy sees people around, he is calm and can be zipped in the playpen without knocking it down.

Puppy Love's PlaypenSep 25, 2011
By Mojo C
I have had this play pen for my dog since he was a puppy. He is now 2 years old & he still loves it. He simply loves to be in it. Even when we leave it open and are hope he lies in there with his puppy blanket, cuddling and sleeping away. We have gone camping and vacationing with him & his play pin. It is very convenient to put away and take out. Other people have mentioned how wonderful it is for him and always ask me where I bought it. I cannot leave my dog out of his play pin when I leave the house because he always ends up on the kitchen table. This was a great way to teach him to stay in his play pin while we are out of the house. He always knows to get in when we tell him to and we leave it open for him play in while we are home. It's like his room, everyone knows where he is if we can't find him around the house. I love this product and I have recommended it to everyone I know.

Dog playpen for my 20lb pugDec 16, 2013
By M. W. Dompier
I researched pen options for some time - and went back and forth between this pen and one made of plastic gates. I was hesitant to purchase this due to the reviews about stability and the Velcro floors. However, I must say, I am very pleased with this purchase. The fact that this is 45" in diameter provides #benthepug plenty of room. I have his bed, food dish and water dish inside and he still has plenty of space to move around. If you're not sure on the space where this will go, I would highly recommend getting out a tape measure to map out just how big 45" around is going to be.
The pen has two zippered doors that can be Velcroed open to allow access in and out. Additionally, the pen includes a zippered ceiling (which I have not used, so I cannot speak to the effectiveness). The mesh walls are great as it allows him to be around the action without being underfoot. A bonus that I was pleasantly surprised by are the pockets outside of the pen where I store a leash and a couple of miscellaneous items. Another bonus: the included carrying case. Finally, there are ground stakes included as well as loops on the pen itself if you were to attach it outside (since this is only used inside, I can't speak to the effectiveness of those, either).
Overall, I cannot say enough good things about this pen. I haven't had any issues with stability or the Velcro floor. In fact, I actually really like the floor as it allows for easy removal and cleaning. I know that #benthepug is much happier being where the action is versus in the basement!

bottom out bummerJan 15, 2011
it looks nice and is well put together, but the bottom of the pen is held to the pen by 5 or 6 small velcro tabs aprox 1/2 inch square. it didnt take my dog very long to root his nose under and be free, now i have to figure out if i can put a different bottom on it...i sure wish the bottom came with a zipper like the top. then it would work great .but until then i have to keep my dog secure by putting him in a room while i am gone .there is know way of using this as a security pen...

Useless, smart dogs can get outAug 03, 2013
By Snuggle's Pen
I bought a pen that looked similar to this for my puppy. It was great, but then it got dirty. I bought this one thinking it was the same type, but when I got it and opened it I saw the bottom was Velcro on and not sealed. I still put my puppy in the pen and went upstairs. 5 minutes later my puppy was upstairs scratching at my door. I was confused how he got out of the pen. I checked to make sure the mesh was all closed and they were. I put my dog back in the pen and watched. He scratched the Velcro open and got out from underneath the play pen. This pen is now useless because it doesn't keep him contained so doesn't serve it's purpose. Now I will be buying another one from the other company. My puppy wasn't able to get out of that one.
